Carlos Reynoso - Zimmerer
Meet Carlos, a sports enthusiast who grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. At the age of six, he packed up his love for sports and moved to San Diego, where his passion for athletics only grew stronger. Sports were Carlos's lifeblood. Every day after school, you could find him kicking a soccer ball, diving into a pool for swim practice, or pounding the pavement in a 5k run. His energy was boundless, and he thrived on the excitement of competition. By the time Carlos turned twelve, he found a new way to be part of the game – as a soccer referee. From 2013 to 2019, he officiated matches for kids as young as six and as old as nineteen. It was a responsibility he took seriously, ensuring fair play and good sportsmanship on the field. But Carlos's involvement in sports didn't stop there. He became deeply engaged with his local soccer club, assisting with youth camps and offering personal training sessions. Through it all, he discovered that sports were about more than just winning or losing – they taught valuable life lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and resilience. "Sports have shaped who I am today," Carlos reflects.
